Instituto Cambridge

Since March 2009 the "Instituto Cambridge" , one of Buenos Aires's most important ESL teaching institutions, runs its daily operations on MoebiusIT "tailor-made" software.

The main challenge was to design a system that would be able to cope with the peak load during the registration period using only the relatively modest resources needed for regular operation. As expected, the registration process was handled without a glitch.
The system assists administrators in task like keeping track of:
Available teachers and their timetables
Available classrooms
Course capacity
Course prerequisites
Course level
Student relations
Fees, discounts and student debt

We divided the project into several modules. The module deployed in March is the largest, since in addition to the mentioned activities, it handles invoicing, daily cash flow, tax reports, and security.
The second module is scheduled for release in August 2009, and it will handle "non-regular" student registration for yearly exams.
